OVERVIEW

OGS Cafe is a short educational game, made for a game development class under the constraints of being a "Language-Learning Cafe".

In this game, you feed many different interesting characters an assortment of foods. When requesting a food, they speak in Hangul (한글), which is the official alphabetic writing system of the Korean language.

The assignment asked for this game to target grade schoolers (Grades 2-5), but I personally think the characters, music, and sounds that the game has make it fun for any age. Plus, learning is cool!

CONTROLS

Hovering Items - Mouse Movement

Selecting Items / Giving Items to Characters - Left Mouse Click

EXTRA NOTES

The music and character art were done by my insanely talented cousin, Alex Plas.

This game was made in just under a few hours (seriously, like maybe < 4 hours). It is fairly short and has simplistic art, but it was extremely fun to make, so that's why I uploaded it. Korean is also a language I'm interested in learning, so I wanted to do some solid research into it. Plus, learning proper translation for game development is never a bad skill.
